YOUR PATH TO REGISTRATION

Six clear steps from student to new REALTOR®

Finish each stage in order. We become directly involved before your RECO application is submitted.

01

Choose an approved school

Apply to one of RECO’s four designated education providers and complete its admission process.

02

Complete pre-registration

Finish the required courses, examinations and residential and commercial simulation sessions.

03

Connect with our brokerage

Meet with us first. We confirm the brokerage relationship and help you prepare the RECO registration step.

04

Apply through RECO MyWeb

Submit your new-salesperson application, required documents and fees. Then wait for RECO to complete its review.

05

Join your local association

After RECO approval, join the real estate board or association serving your market. LSTAR is the local example for our London branch; our Sarnia and Chatham branches work with different local associations.

06

Begin onboarding

Complete LSTAR, CENTURY 21 and First Canadian onboarding so your systems, training and marketing are ready to use.

RECO registration applies across Ontario. Your local board or association depends on where you will work; your First Canadian branch will confirm the correct organization.

STEP ONE

Choose a RECO-approved education provider

All four providers deliver the RECO curriculum. Compare format, support, scheduling and total cost before choosing.
